Defibtech Lifeline electrodes for children
Shelf life: approximately 2 years
Suitable for:
Lifeline pediatric electrodes are applicable for children aged 1 to 8 years and lighter than 25kg. When the pediatric electrodes are connected to the AED, the shock level of the AED is automatically reduced. The positioning of the electrodes is shown on the package. When connecting the pediatric electrodes to the AED, it immediately switches to the pediatric protocol. Here the shock volume is reduced to 50joules. For children, one electrode is placed on the chest and one on the victim's back.
Electrodes have an expiration date due to the conductive gel which can dry out. They may no longer be used after the expiration date. Make sure that you always have an unopened set of electrodes with an expiration date. The Lifeline pediatric electrodes have a shelf life of approximately two years. The expiration date can be found on a sticker attached to the back of the package.
Pediatric electrodes can only be used for "small casualties. Therefore, these electrodes cannot be used for an adult victim. Are you looking for adult electrodes? You can find them here: Defibtech Lifeline electrodes
