Zoll Pedi-Padz II Pediatric Electrodes

The Zoll Pedi-Padz II are specifically designed for use with children. These electrodes are recommended for children between 1 and 8 years old or weighing less than 25 kg. When the electrodes are connected to the AED, it switches to the pediatric resuscitation protocol. The shock volume is also reduced.

Shelf Life of the Zoll Pedi-Padz II

The shelf life of the Zoll pediatric electrodes is approximately 1.5 years. After the expiration date, the electrodes must be replaced and should no longer be used. This is due to the conductive gel in the electrodes, which can dry out over time. Using electrodes after the expiration date can have negative consequences for the victim. Therefore, always ensure that you keep an unopened package with the expiration date near the AED.
