Unlike many other defibrillators, which have the battery at the bottom of the device, the battery of the HeartOn A15 from Mediana is located at the top of the AED in full view; it also functions as a handle. 

The battery is easily removed with the convenient lever and just as easily reinserted. The battery life regularly exceeds the 5 years expected from the date of manufacture.
