The battery with a lifespan of 3 years is especially intended for the budget AED model 'Heartsave PAD'. The battery with a lifespan of 6 years is intended for the following models: Heartsave AED, Heartsave AED-M and Heartsave AS.

The batteries are interchangeable and the price differential is only due to the difference in the lifespan of the two products.
