Schiller FRED easy electrodes

The adult electrodes can be used on patients weighing more than 25 kg and older than 8 years. The electrodes are single-use and can be pre-connected to the AED. Because the electrodes can be connected to the AED in advance, valuable time is saved when the device is deployed. The packaging and the electrodes feature images showing the correct positioning of the electrode pads.

Please note: The connectors for the FRED easy and the FRED easyport are different. Make sure you place the correct electrodes in your shopping basket.

Shelf life of the FRED easy electrodes

The Schiller FRED Easy adult electrodes have a shelf life of approximately 2 years. The shelf life is determined by the conductive gel on the electrode pads. This can dry out over time. Using electrodes that have passed their shelf life can have negative consequences when they are used. Therefore, always make sure that you connect an unopened electrode set with an unexpired expiration date to the AED.

Use on children:

Special pediatric electrodes have been developed for babies and children aged 1-8 years and weighing less than 25 kg. When these are connected to the AED, it immediately switches to the pediatric resuscitation protocol and the shock volume is reduced.
